Moor Child WIP by Lathrin Moor Child WIP by Lathrin
I know I havent drawn lately, so here is a WIP of my latest drawing.
Its based on a book I really loved which is called Moorchild.
Sadly Im quite sure non of you heard of it, but who knows XD
It might not be completely loyal to the original (might change her hair colour), but the overall feeling and such most certainly is~

Still not sure which colour scheme I should go with.. If I coloured it digitally I would go for a draker one, but its a bit risky traditionally.. Decisions decisions..

Tell me what you think, especially if you have a suggestion or such :)

I already finished it a few days ago, just didnt get a chance to scan it while I was at home, so need to wait for the next time Ill get back.

Im.. half satisfied with how it came out..
Couldnt get the dark colour scheme, so had to settle for a brighter one

Love it, very cool

Can not wait to see what you pick for colour

If you did Traditional, what media would you go for?

I already finished it, just didnt get to scan it, and will be a few days before I could try to scan it again.
I used the usual staff: Markers, colour pens+pencils, multiliner pen, sorta crayons (Two thing that resemble it, but are slightly different).

Can not wait, you do great work, lady

that's cool, er so what did you mean by "sorta crayons (Two thing that resemble it, but are slightly different)."?

Like a different brand or something

Different brand, but theyre also a bit different than regular crayons. One a bit more "watery", and the other more chalky.

Thank you, I do my best :D

looking good:) I've never heard of the book, but if i were to do the picture, id use a darker theme for the whole thing, kinda like duller colours for the houses and what not, and maybe lighter colours for the girl but not to bright.:)
what kind of book is it?

I had thought more or less the same thing.
The only problem is that Im less sure as how I would handle it with the my current medium. I dont have that much dark colours, and its harder to correct mistakes when its already dark..

Its a fantasy book. A little old, but good one never the less :)

well, if you use digital, wouldn't you be able to undo if you make a mistake or don't like it?

Ofcourse it would be that much easier (and possible)
And I would have more variety in colours and control over it.
But I dont, because most of the time I cant.

Because most days Im not even at home, so I dont have access to my computer, not to mention tablet.
And in the weekends I am at home (two out of three weekends), I use most of my time to meet my friends and such.

Which is why most of my works are traditional, since I can take my markers and such with me.
